Richard is an architect with his own firm, specialising in all varieties of housing for older people, including care homes, extra care, and retirement housing, a field in which he has won many design awards. His clients include leading developers in both public and private sectors. Richard is chair of the Retirement Housing Group and a member of the Older People’s Housing Taskforce. He also works as an expert witness.
