Ed Warner Co-founded the inclusive design business Motionspot in 2012 after his friend and Co-Founder James Taylor became a wheelchair user and was left underwhelmed by the clinical design of his home. Ed has since built Motionspot into an award-winning inclusive design specialist for the built environment. Today Motionspot helps clients to go above and beyond minimum standards to create inclusively designed environments which support the diversity in our society and create a sense of belonging for everyone. Motionspot provides inclusive design consultancy and innovative accessible product advice to some of the world’s leading inclusive office spaces, hotels, later living developments, leisure, and retail facilities across the world. Ed is a member of the Disability Confident Business Leaders group. He was also the Government Disability Access Ambassador for the Built Environment for a three-year term between 2019 and 2022, for which he was awarded an MBE in the 2024 New Year Honours for services to disabled people. Ed is an experienced speaker on inclusive design topics relating to the built environment including how inclusive design supports the ‘S’ in ESG and is a vital component of EDI strategies.
